It’s blue, it’s true, and it’s got nothing to do with…well…whatever. After the highly successful WPH Purple release by San Soda WPH is back with the second release in our coloured vinyl-only series. The series where no digital suckers are allowed , the series where producers actually get to choose the artwork – in this case the colour, the series that digs even deeper than any regular WPH release.
San Soda is getting ready for his first full album, but never one to shy away from making a quick groove he recently gave us the track ‘Kaizen’, reminding us of MCDE’s ‘Raw Cuts’, but still with that unmistakeable San Soda style. We were about to ask San Soda for another track in a similar style – messing up our own release schedule…enter Raoul Lambert with ‘3 Seconds’.
Who is Raoul Lambert and where does he come from? Well, all we know is that he’s from the city where they make the majority of the beer that’s swallowed daily by any self-respecting Belgian or British football fan, and that he is the discofied alter ego of Belgium’s most respected and most internationally renowned house DJs. His identity shall remain unknown to anybody who is not from Belgium and who does not know ‘Swirl People’, but what we do know is that the track ‘3 Seconds’ fits this E.P. perfectly with it’s lush chords, short vocal snippet and drums straight from Pepe Bradock’s washing room.
The two tracks fit nicely on one side, and for a higher profit margin we decided not to use the B-side. We might be underground but we’re not stupid… Oh, and this series is limited never to be repressed again, so you know what to do.
