Filed under disco because of the A side track, but again a pretty versatile release here. James Pants is definitely one of the freshest producers around (in our modest opinion, feel free to disagree..). The title track on the A side is on what you might call on a disco-noir tip. It has kind of wave style vocals (by himself), a heavy, electronic bassline, fusion type of synths and a cowbell that sort of reminds of the one, used in the Universal Robot Band’s ‘Barely breaking even’ track. Those not digging the vocals should hop on the to the instrumental take on the same side. The flip has three non album cuts, starting of with ‘Monster’, (Moog's Minimonsta?), a percussive cut with trademark synths and incredible bass. Second on the flip is ‘Space Date’, a dreamy sort of midtempo disco cut with horny vox and pounding bassline. ‘Rocking’ at last is a minimal sort of house rhythm track with vocals (although not audible in the soundfile, sorry for that), a take on the Adonis original. Well recommended!!!
