Black Pepper from Guyanese artists Yoruba Singers. Amazing 1984 version of a track of the same name released in 1975. Super rare original 12" reissued for the first time by Left Ear Records.

. After a string of quality releases Left Ear Records continue to perform. Here we have a 1984 remake of 'The Yoruba Singers' tropical dancefloor winner Black Pepper. During a hiatus from Guyana, it was studio sessions in New York that saw them experiment with electronics. To great effect they went four to the floor, darkening the mood with THAT SYNTH bass-line and managed to keep the tropical vibe prevalent. The original release is almost ghost-like, surfacing only a couple of times. Today it's on offer again, lovingly repressed and remastered by the Melbourne based label.
