Wallias Band were an Ethiopian jazz/funk outfit active from the 70�s until the 90�s. They recorded and worked with Mulatu Astatke. They were amongst the first Ethipian bands to tour the USA.

On �Muziqa Muziqa� saxophonist Seyoum Gebreyes collaborates with the Wallias Band. Very little is known about Seyoum� �Muziqa Muziqa� is an uptempo Ethio-funk jam, with a soaring vocal, driving organ, drums and brass. �Muziqawi Slit� is a chugging, hypnotic Ethiopian jazz funk groover featuring organ player by Hailu Mergia. Taken from his �Tche Belew� LP originally released on Kaifa in 1977, featuring Mulatu Astatke, arranged by Girme Beyene.
