First up we’ve got Jimmy The Twin with “Get Up”; Now while the sample on this is obvious, the rework most certainly is not. Raw percussion, off-key synths and a subtle sub, all come together to make this something new all together. Flip it over for two cuts from Shanghai resident Laura Ingalls (The Horses). “Party Down”, continues the fun with six and a half minutes of thumping Disco, driving bass, and a killer hook. And last up we have “Say, Uh, What You Say, Come On” - a solid rework of a lesser-played classic; a little slice of Connoisseur’s Soul with a sprinkling of peak-time magic.
