Tito Puente, often referred to as "the king of latin music", was a master timbales player, composer and bandleader born in Harlem, New York.
His music appeared in many films including The Mambo Kings and Fernando Trueba's Calle 54. Tito appeared in several television shows including Sesame Street, The Cosby Show and The Simpsons.
Black Brothers is taken from the self-title 1973 Fania LP by Tito Puente & His Concert Ocrhestra. It has never been released on 7".
Hit The Bongo was originally released in 1970 on 7" by Tico. It also appeared on the Tico LP 'Pa'Lante! Straight!' in the same year.
