Following up their appearance on the Genesis Tracks EP (SIS-22), Patrice Scott and Chris Mitchell are back at it under their Modular One moniker.

Segue One sees the duo pushing forward on their thematic journey into deep, interstellar techno. Adding to the fire, UK deep techno maestro, Aubrey blesses the EP with a remix crafted in his signature textural style.

Track 1 – Segue One
The journey begins as the dark arpeggio rises - the punchy kick drives forward as analog synth strings organically emerge in the mix. A crisp, minimal rhythm section elevates the groove while the subtleties of masterful filtering and spatial effects take the dancefloor on a mental excursion. This is the welcome return of Modular One that the purists have been waiting for.

Track 2 – Aubrey’s Mix
Clocking in at over 13 minutes, Aubrey takes Segue One and sends it to the furthest reaches of the sonic universe. This mix is nothing short of a deep space transmission – taking the building blocks of Chris and Patrice’s original and applying layer upon layer of added tones and textures. Ever-evolving soundscapes swirl and shimmer to create a truly hypnotic journey. This cut is here to remind you why you fell in love with electronic music – follow its lead and be rewarded.
