Steadily rising Chicago producer Slava has a lot to offer the world, and his second LP Raw Solutions, dropping on Mexican Summer, proves just that. You can switch from the sunny house bounce of "Werk" to the moody footwork musings of "Girl Like Me" and be in a very different headspace in an instant, before moving on to the carnival-baiting technicolour of "Heartbroken". Slava adeptly represents the multi-faceted nature of modern electronic music, tapping into the many-headed zeitgeist with a limber style that works a soulful appreciation of melody into the crafty beat science and stylistic shifts, and in the end that's what makes this LP work.
