Side A is a psychedelic cover of Jorge Ben�s all-time classic �Carolina Carol Bela�. Very little is known about Os Brazoes except that they formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1969 and backed Gal Costa during her early �Tropicalia� years. The front man of the band is Miguel de Deus. This track appears on their self-titled LP on RGE in 1969. This track has never been released on 7�.

Side B features one of the unique greats of Brazilian music, Tim Maia. Maia was renowned for his iconoclastic, ironic, outspoken and humorous musical style. E Necessario is taken from his self-titled 1977 LP on Som Livre.
