Written by Mark Archer in 1991 and released as Altern-8, this is half of a double vinyl set featuring new modern remixes cut from the original samples.

The Hacker opens the EP with a rework channelling early Warp Records / Sheffield Techno at it’s finest – Pure Energy. Rennie Foster brings the 303 to the forefront with an acid-heavy breakbeat house remix. KiNK takes the vibe deeper with his underwater techno groover, and Neil Landstrumm completes the set with a deep, bleepy hardware-led remix.
