The follow up album to their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album on Stones Throw Records

The Stepkids are a trio who came together in 2009 after a decade of working in bands with some of the industry’s biggest names, creating a unique brand of modern psychedelic soul. The Bridgeport CT based band-- Jeff Gitelman (guitar, vocal), Dan Edinberg (bass, keys, voc) and Tim Walsh (drums, voc)-- gleefully blend classic jazz, R&B, funk, 70s pop/rock and countless other genres and styles.
The release of their 2011 self-titled debut album and the praise for their visually psychedelic live show led to tours with Kimbra, Mayer Hawthorne, Grace Potter, Mates of State and The Horrors. The result of the experience gained and lessons learned since the release of The Stepkids can be heard throughout new album Troubadour.
The album features “Sweet Salvation,” released as a single and video in late 2012; “Moving Pictures,” performed by the band on NBC’s Last Call With Carson Daly last fall; and “The Art of Forgetting”performed recently as part of the “In The Red Bull Studio” series.
