The series, written, produced, arranged & performed by Muldrow and issued under the alias Jyoti is inspired by her father, mother and spiritual mentor Alice Coltrane. Taping into her Ancestral Orchestra this one woman band fuses the elements to create this unique landscape of sound.

Born in Los Angeles Georgia’s jazz roots stemmed from her parents. Her father, Ronald Muldrow, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist best known for his work with Eddie Harris. Her mother, Rickie-Byars Beckwith, Her early influences lead her to start writing, composing and playing instruments before reaching the early age of 10. Georgia would later move to New York after graduating high school to attend the New School’s Jazz program where she met fellow musicians Robert Glasper & Bilal, both of which she continues to work with.

The “Optimus Prime” 7” is your first taste of the upcoming fulllength and features the cut “Conmigo” on the B-Side. In a physical format “Conmigo” will only be available on this 7” offering.
