Lee Fields has amassed a prolific catalog of albums and has toured and played with such legends as Kool & the Gang, Sammy Gordon & The Hip-Huggers, and Little Royal. In his career of over 40 years, he released on several independent labels before he founded his own label, Angle 3 Records.

Funky Screw was the a-side of his debut 45rpm single on Angle 3 backed with the equally good instrumental track The Bull Is Coming. The backing on both sides was provided by The Devil's Personal Band. No other name could describe their tight and superfunky sound better than this
