Marcel Dettmann makes his debut on the Dekmantel imprint and remixes two Vakula (aka Vedomir) remixes. So, what else to expect but forward thinking techno from the man who has been widely regarded as one of the genres most respected DJs and producers? Keywords are ‘stripped, dark, raw, hypnotizing and dystopian’ - we could almost say its business as usual from this long-time Berghain-resident who has remixed for Scuba, Modeselektor, Trus’Me and Junior Boys in the past, all the while releasing on zeitgeist-defining labels like Ostgut Ton, Music Man and 50Weapons.

Contemporary techno in optima forma, Dettmann's trademark treatment hits Vedomir's 'Musical Suprematism' quite relentlessly here, building on shattered vocals and a seemingly endless full-throttle bassline. His second remix 'Dreams' shows the German is the undisputed master of subtle yet pounding techno. Relying heavily on the bass, the interplanetary funk comes from a hypnotizing deep and dubby synth groove. Classic.
