After purple, blue, green, red and yellow comes…WPH White! WPH continues its coloured, vinyl-only series with this killer installment by Luv Jam & Outlander. Luv Jam is of course a WPH regular and on the A-side he returns to us with an absolute storming dancefloor track called ‘Dewi On Deck’. With a surprising use of different instruments from this Welsh master of tension, Luv Jam nails us to the floor with a big bassline, pristine percussive elements and a melody that will be stuck in your head for years. We were told that Dewi is a cat that likes to sleep on decks, but of course this could just be a metaphore…
On the B-side we celebrate the return of a true legend of the game. The last original Outlander release saw the light of day back in 1995, and now 16 years later Marcos Salon is back in big form. ‘Space Disco’ and ‘Dace Spisco’ are not what you will expect, but in those 16 years of absence Marcos never stopped making music and sucking up influences. The result is two beautifully crafted pieces of electronic music, somewhere between balearic, deep and acid house, at a tempo all the slow-loving DJ’s will be at ease with, but still with enough energy to get the floors going everywhere.
