CD album from Judson Rogers, a Florida (and occasionally North Carolina) based electronic musician who has been releasing music through L.A.'s own Low End Theory affiliated label, Leaving Records. Cassette and digital will be out on Leaving Records, and Japan's Moamoo is issuing a CD with bonus tracks. Check!

'Call It Home,' a track that has less to do with the local beat music landscape (I.E. Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing) and more to do with a transatlantic ethereal dance vibe that splits the difference between Four Tet and Neon Indian, or Caribou and Mount Kimbie. It's an apt gateway drug to a world of collage-based tunes that value atmosphere and texture over thump and glitch.

Leaving Records says it's "an 80's dance record at heart," which is accurate, but found between the spans of euphoric rhythm are starry ambient breaks.
