Luv Jam has the honour of being the first signing to the WPH roster that survived the ongoing chaotic process of demo submissions via Myspace or e-mail. It has to be said that Luv Jam was at the end of his WPH wits after several friendly but stern denials by label boss Red D. One last ditch 4AM attempt proved that tenacity and patience are always rewarded, ‘Black Beauty’ was right on the WPH money and off we went.

Luv Jam’s minimal but not minimal style of producing is something that has got to grow on you. And grow on WPH it did, and ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Black Moon’ soon followed to complete the E.P. But of course we could not let the opportunity pass to do another storming FCL Remix, thus firmly linking this release to the rest of the label’s output.

Luv Jam is the alias of Andy Cole, and also the name of his party collective of DJ’s, producers and allround good Welsh people from the town of Wrecsam, also known as Wrexham for those Englishmen who are still afraid to wonder beyond Chester…

Luv Jam has a unique and fresh sound and is a very welcome addition to the growing number of fresh house faces in the WPH stable.
