Chickenwing all stars is a South London reggae dub collective under the leadership of Anderson and Craig Tamlin , percussionist with Anthony Joseph & the Spasm band. It features Shabaka Hutchings, a young rising �star� of the UK jazz scene who plays also with the Heliocentrics, Speech Debelle or Courtney Pine�s new Jazz Warriors �
Under the common influence of roots reggae and spiritual jazz, this new band offers for their first release some instrumental versions of Gary Bartz�s classic with Andy Bey that reminisce both the Mystic Revelation of Rastafari and the spritit of independant US jazz productions from 70s labels like Strata East or Black Jazz�
