Featured interviewees include Jesse Saunders, Robert Owens, Joe Smooth, Frankie Knuckles, Julius The Mad Thinker, Steve Silk Hurley, Loleatta Holloway, Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), Carl Bias (Master C&J), Jere McCallister and many more. The Unusual Suspects filmmaker Chip E. has been spinning records since 1982 and began producing records in 1984, including co-producing Frankie Knuckles first record, “You Can’t Hide.” In 1987, he became the first Chicago artist to be in regular rotation on three major radio stations (WBMX-FM, WGCI-FM and WBBM-FM).
