Inspired by strange android dreams and angelic visions of Russian air hostesses on electronically powered scooters, ‘Aeroflot’ is equal part space and equal part boogie. Meanwhile on the flip, ‘Git Down’ is a slab of raw basement boogie, an experiment in time travel and is well heavy on the funk. Last up is ‘Dirty Rips’ which pays homage to the machine funk of the early electro sound while giving it a serious contemporary tweak. This track was previously re-edited by DJ legend Greg Wilson and released as ‘Hardcore Boogie’ on Redux, but this is the first time the original version has been released on vinyl.
