Japanese jazz with attitude with Jazz trio J.A.M on the A side & some jazz flavoured dance floor broken beats on the flipside from Jazztronik. J.A.M are a three piece who take their name from the three members, Josei (keys), Akita Goldman (bass) & Midorin (drums) who are all members of the Japanese band Soil & Pimp Sessions. Their rendition of ´Quiet Fire´ takes influence from Roy Haines cover version but makes the track very much their own for an explosive jazz dancer from the start with big keys that drive the track until the epic finish. On the flipside, Jazztronik (the project of Ryota Nozaki) gets joined by Shacho (also from Soil & Pimp Sessions) for a jazz tinged broken beats workout with distinctive piano hooks that keep the momentum at a furious speed throughout. check!
