On the A-side we have “Far Away” Original Mix, Patrice’s original mix is true to its title. A deep, hypnotic, slow-building journey, this is the type of tune you can just close your eyes and march to. Gritty synth stabs punctuate an insistent analog kick, whilst metallic percussion shuffles atop swirling atmospheres of layered strings and chords. No frills, no flash, only the essentials are used to create a cut that is truly pure and timeless. The flipside features Mike Edge's remix of “Far Away”,
Mike Edge returns after his well-received debut Sistrum EP, Walking Alone (SIS-007). Mike’s remix is a delicate, dreamy interpretation of the original – expanding on the theme set forth by Patrice through the use of complimentary melodic lines and chord structures. A warm, round bassline adds a newfound layer of frequencies and ties everything together in proper fashion. Sublime sounds for deep dancefloors and enlightened ears.
