Hyperdub temporarily resumes deep dub service after some bleep interference. Following on from their first 12” on the label from 2007, which earned comparisons to Berlin’s seminal Rhythm & Sound, South London’s L.V. return with 2 more intimate, bass driven, twilight dub cuts. Check!

‘CCTV’, featuring vocalist Dandelion who earlier featured on ‘Takeover’,combines the organic warmth of reggae with squelching analogue synths, while Dandelion wages war on Big Brother society and street surveillance. ‘Dream Cargo’ veers more in a melancholy techno direction, but with a driving rhythm that owes more to soca than it does any 4 to the floor stomper.
