Olivier is a singer/songwriter from Washington D.C., hailing from the crew of Kev Brown (producer for Jewel,DJ Jazzy Jeff and soul singer Eric Roberson. He is currently working on his debut album for 4lux. But first up is this debut/sampler 12inch called “Soul4U”
“Soul4U” is a soul tune, combining his vocals with lush beats and synths. The music is produced by beatmaker and hip hop artist Oddisee. Oddissee produced beats for Talib Kweli, Little brother, DJ Jazzy Jeff, J-Live, etc. and released his own music through Half Tooth records. “Bump it” is a boom-bap styled headnodder with crazy vocals and futuristic flow. The beat was produced by Unknown who produced for the USA rap sextet Nappy Roots. “Spaceship” was produced by Planet Mohawk and basically tells a story about abducting a beautiful earth lady and taking her into space. The music and overall feel of this song is very electric. Last track is “Dance” which obviously is a perfect tune to dance to. For the beatdiggerz ,all the instrumental versions are included!
