Jun and Phonon have done remix work on the Outergaze label for the Triangle Orchestra and BRS and now debut as Beatblocks. “Feeling Like Water” has deep old school flavas with a funky kick, smooth Rhodes, retro synths and a steady bass leading the track. A simple uncluttered production that really works."First Appearance” is straight up 80’s electronic jazz funk thing, think Herbie Hancock."Cast Off the Skin” keep the funk vibe going but digs in evenharder and really get’s down. Monster bass synth, guitar, just a touch of vocoder and a little acid plus hot percussion and hauting synth line at the end pull this track together perfectly. Should appeal to fans of Environ and Japanese Synchro System to name a few.
