Finest Blend is the output vessel of The Concrete Soul Collective. For those unaware, The Concrete Soul Collective is a Stockholm (Sweden) based
production collective, dedicated to electronic music. The label itself has
since 2003, made available to lovers of Electronical funk, a small portion
of what we have cooking at 'The Funk Bunker'. Deep club oriented
Electro/Techno with soul. One side Club oriented for DJ users, quality flip
side for home listeners. Finest Blend focus on minimum of four hi-quality
12inch releases a year. Releases compromise of 3 to 4 solid traxx per 12inch
or EP. Once installed it won' quit!
On side A we hear Wildplanet and Kenny Black, together delivering this very
tight funk track, very along the lines of Red Planet / Mad Mike hi-tech funk
output! Wicked electrofunk to full effect! WildPlanet further on remix the
track of comrade Kenny Black into this smooth house grooves affair. Side b
brings two more jazzy soulful cuts, along the lines of their release on UK's
Digital Soul label. Smooth vibes bringing back memories to the early
nineties technosoul sounds of Carl Craig's Retroactive and Soul City. Check,
