WOOOHAAAAA!!!!!!! The hardest shining pearl from their last album on Avex, got a 12' pressing on Brownswood. This track is a cover from the same titled track by John Lucien that came out on RCA around '74. The original ( UFO album version ) is featured on the A side. UFO turn this track into a highly energetic, thick eight minute epos. It has a driving offbeat rhythmpattern and bossa like bassline, accompanied by hard percussion and dope brazil sounds.The vocals are done by Jeffery Smith and sounds a surprising lot like Mr Lucien himself. His lush voice brings some air into the track and is accompanied by some great piano work (going solo as well ). The Yoruba soul mix by OSUNLADE on the flip is a 4/4 mix with offbeat shuffle and some added melodic synthwork but keeps the vibe of the original. His mix is a bit more downtempo than the original. Huge tip !!!!
