Roomtone (a.k.a. Jeroen Kimman: guitar, bass, tablas, percussion) has been a long time collaborator with Music forSpeakers. After performing guitar at one of the first Relaxo Abstracto gigs he recorded his first solo CD; 'Happy enough counting down', produced by Sandor Caron. It featured some of Holland's most respected jazz-musicians like Michael Vatcher and Pieter Bast as well as electronic contributions by Aardvarck and Sandor Caron. On Music against people, Roomtone displays his compositional and instrumental craftman-ship, and with M4S Sandor Caron and Aardvarck behind the buttons, what else can you expect but a fine, andventurous record, that easily steers free of any jazz/dance cliches?
